Privacy Policy

Last updated May 31, 2026

Anvil is a native developer toolkit for Apple platforms. This policy explains what personal data is processed, why it is processed, who helps process it, and how to exercise your GDPR rights.

The short version

Controller

The data controller is Alex Rivas Martinez, a self-employed professional established in Spain. Contact support for privacy questions and GDPR requests.

Information we process

Anvil may process local tool content, local settings, subscription and entitlement data, optional product analytics, support email content, and basic website delivery data. Tool input and output are not uploaded to Anvil.

On-device processing

The app tools are designed to process developer data locally, including JSON repair, JWT decoding, Base64, URL encoding, hashes, diffing, QR codes, SQL formatting, Markdown preview, code beautifying, and related tools.

Analytics controls

Analytics can be turned off in Anvil settings. An analytics provider may process optional product events, but those events do not include tool content, tokens, files, secrets, or generated results.

Payments and subscriptions

Purchases are made through the App Store. Apple processes payment details and manages billing. A purchase validation provider helps validate receipts, restore purchases, and maintain Pro access.

International transfers

Apple and service providers for purchase validation, optional analytics, email support, and website hosting may process data outside Spain or the EEA with appropriate safeguards where required.

Retention

Tool content stays on your device unless you export or share it. Support, subscription, and analytics data are kept only as long as needed for support, legal, accounting, or product-improvement purposes.

Your GDPR rights

If GDPR applies to you, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, and complaint rights by emailing support. You may also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

Children's privacy

Anvil is a developer tool and is not directed to children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new last updated date.
